Travel Directions.

By Car

From the city centre and Phoenix Park.

Drive through the main road of the Park and leave by the Castleknock gate. Continue up Castleknock Road and at the next set of traffic lights take the right turn into Auburn Avenue. Take the 2nd turn on the left - this is Castleknock Park and 48 is on the right hand side.

From the city centre and Navan Road.

At the Half Way House pub roundabout on the Navan Rd. continue up the dual carriageway leading to the M50. At the Auburn roundabout leave the dual carriageway taking the 1st left exit and continuing over a mini roundabout and you are now in Auburn Avenue.

Continue up Auburn Avenue and Castleknock Park is the 3rd turn on your right hand side, with pedestrian lights just before you turn right. 48 is on the right hand side.

From the M50, travelling from the airport direction

Having joined the M50, the 3rd exit is for the N3 Cavan, Castleknock, Blanchardstown and you should leave here continuing up the ramp on the left hand side. At the traffic lights keep left following the sign for the city but almost immediately make your way over to the outside lane.

After a very short distance you will come to the Auburn roundabout and take the 3rd exit in the direction of Castleknock. Continue over a mini roundabout and you are now in Auburn Avenue. Castleknock Park is the 3rd turn on your right hand side, with pedestrian lights just before you turn right. 48 is on the right hand side.

From the M50, travelling from the South in the direction of the airport

Take the first left having passed over the Toll Bridge and stay in the centre or right hand lane as you approach the top of the ramp. Take the 3rd exit off this roundabout in the direction of the city centre and stay in the outside lane.

After a very short distance you will come to the Auburn roundabout and take the 3rd exit in the direction of Castleknock. Continue over a mini roundabout and you are now in Auburn Avenue. Castleknock Park is the 3rd turn on your right hand side, with pedestrian lights just before you turn right. 48 is on the right hand side.

By Bus

The 37X or the 38 will bring you to Auburn Avenue and the appropriate entrance to Castleknock Park is near the pedestrian crossing.

The 37, 38 and 38a will bring you to Castleknock Road and you should get off at the top of Auburn Avenue and walking down Auburn Ave, take the 2nd turn on the left hand side.

The 39 A or C or the 70 will bring you to the Auburn roundabout. Proceed back to the Auburn roundabout and continue up Auburn Avenue and Castleknock Park is the 3rd turn on your right hand side, with pedestrian lights just before you turn right. 48 is on the right hand side.
By Train

Take a Maynooth train from Connolly or Tara station and get off at Castleknock station. Having left the station and reached the main road turn right and walk towards the traffic lights. Continue through these lights; over the M50 and the next two sets of traffic lights. Having passed through Castleknock village turn left at the next traffic lights and proceed down Auburn Ave. and take the 2nd turn on your left hand side.

Please note that it is 1 mile from Castleknock station to Castleknock Park and that the frequency of trains is not great outside of peak hours.
